In a pick of the tips from the weekend press the Daily Mail tips Asian Plantations as a 'buy' although it notes that this is a young company with risks attached and subject to commodity price fluctuations. The paper points out that the firm is well run and is involved in the production of crops in demand by the emerging economies. The Daily Mail thinks that over three years they could prove a rewarding investment.

The Telegraph likes Eurasian Natural Resource pointing out that investors could have done worse than to adopt a strategy to buy particular miners on dips in the share price. They suggest that this senario applies to Eurasian Natural Resource, which mainly produces feedstock in ferrochrome heavily used in power industries. with the shares trading on a December 2010 earnings multiple of 10.4 but expected to fall to 8.3 in 2011. Buy, says the Telegraph.

Cranswick is a speciality sausage producer and Sunday Times revealed that the City would not be suprised to see double-digit sales growth announced in a company trading update expected this week. The Sunday Times reports that the outlook remains positive for Cranswick with supermarkets likely to continue to source more British meat. The shares are on 12 times prospective earnings and are worth buying say Sunday Times.

Vodafone has won a contract, through Vodafone Global Enterprise to manage Oracle's mobile service requirements in Europe, Middle East and Africa's for the next four years. Contract relates to mobile services management, mobile voice and data services to over 16,000 Oracle employees and the agreement will be on a 'fixed-fee per-user' basis. Company added that Oracle will benefit from niche tools and consultancy that will improve efficiency in both fixed and mobile communications.

BATM Advanced Communications who supply broadband enabling telecommunications technologies, have reported a drop in profits in the full year 2009 however company remained upbeat raising the dividend and distributing excess cash in a special payment. Company pointed to resilience of its business model, strong technologies pipeline and continued investment in areas to strengthen market position. Company expects higher sales in medical divisions during 2010 and remains cautiously optimistic for the year.

Amino Technologies, who provide IPTV - Internet TV and Video specialist services, have reported a pre-tax loss of £8.7m for company year ended 30 November 2009. Company indicated that market conditions were a cause for revenues to be down in the period to £25.29m from £31.90m in 2008 but added that it is seeing more robust demand at the start of 2010. Amino also announced that has won a sizable contract with a Western European operator to support the operator's new broadband TV service.
