What is an investment fund (OEIC)?
An OEIC is a collective investment vehicle, enabling investors to gain exposure to a range of investments and/or markets similar to other pooled vehicles such as Unit Trusts. An OEIC is legally constituted as an investment company (plc) with variable capital. OEICs have independent boards of Directors.

The Close Investments Global Funds (noted and authorised as a UCITS III compliant scheme on 30 December 2005) operates as an umbrella fund, which means that within its overall structure there are a number of sub-funds. Close Investments appoints specialist investment advisery ‘boutiques’ to manage these sub-funds.

Each sub-fund has its own investment objective. The Funds range covers the major markets of the world, and offers investors access to specialist areas such as fixed income.

Close Investments Limited, Close Fund Management Limited and Close Multi Manager Limited are members of the Close Investments Group and each uses the trading name Close Investments.
