Director dealings : easyJet, Directex, Ocado share deals

Director dealings : easyJet, Directex, Ocado share deals

2010/07/30 by ukcitymedia.co.uk about : Director Dealings - 0 Comments - 314 words

It was a reasonably quiet day for director dealings in the FTSE yesterday headlined by Ocado director Neill Abrams taking £100,000 worth of shares in the grocery delivery company. Other deals included Carolyn McCall and Chris Kennedy of easyJet buying 6,141 shares each in the airline company. The final deal of note saw Jonathan Lander of Directex Realisations buying 1,000,000 shares in the media company.

Ocado floated on the stock exchange last week and its prices have undergone a shaky start since then. Their initial price of 180p was widely believed to be overvaluing the company and this caused the shares to fall quickly below the 160p mark. Neill Abrams yesterday took 59,000 shares at a price of 166p per share and director Andrew Bracey also bought 3,000 shares paying the slightly higher 168.00p price per share. Ocado share prices remain steady today at 165.00p each.

Carolyn McCall, the group chief executive of easyJet, and group finance director Chris Kennedy both purchased 6,141 shares each in the airline company. Paying 404.25p per share the two paid marginally less than £25,000 each to increase their investment in the company.

Jonathan Lander, director of Directex, increased his investment in the media company by purchasing 1,000,000 shares at 1.40p each costing a total of £14,000. The investment, which brings Jonathan Lander’s total stake in the company to 6,000,000 shares, looks a sound one as Directex shares have today risen 6.67% to reach 1.88p.
