Suprema Securities investment bank has opened a branch office in Poland. Suprema Securities is a subsidiary of the largest investment bank in Finland - Evli. In Poland Suprema's target will be primarily small and medium-sized companies. The bank plans to concentrate on brokerage and advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and floating companies on the Warsaw stock exchange. According to Marek Witkowski, Deputy President at Suprema Poland, the market for public listings is tantalizing. One may expect some 35-50 debuts in 2006.
The Evli/Suprema group provides services for investors from Scandinavia and the Baltic states. The company wants to attract more investors to Poland, as well as to find new clients in Poland, including firms which are interested in mergers and buyouts in the areas of the group's activity.
"We believe that Poland offers much more investment and expansion opportunities for Scandinavian firms than other Baltic states - says Marek Witkowski. - Scandinavia is a market of large businesses, which are looking for attractive locations for their capital".
